Information Collection and its Use

The ci3t.org website uses Google Analytics to capture anonymous website usage data and navigation patterns. These anonymous data help the Ci3T research team understand the website’s audience and provide meaningful data to inform our reach: how (type of device), where (states, countries), and what (resources) website visitors access. Google Analytics does not use (nor receive), and Ci3T does not send to Google Analytics, any personally identifiable information (e.g., name, email address). Google Analytics does collect IP address and device type (e.g., mobile, desktop, web browser) information to inform us from where people access ci3t.org and from what type of device. In addition, ci3t.org uses Google Analytics to track what resources are downloaded and how often (e.g., presentation slide decks, PDF forms), informing us of each item’s social validity through usage.
